Desperately need advice!

Hi, I have a stepdaughter who is 8 who myself and my partner used to see half of the week (3 nights one week 4 the next). BM stopped contact 10 months ago when my partner left uni and started working. She claimed CSA straight away. Recently CSA has been stopped as my partner has went back to uni. Today we recieved a text from BM saying she needs help and wants us to take SD for a few nights to speak to her as SD has been discussing harming her 1 year old sister at her mums and also harming other people, but particularly her infant sister. Myself and my partner have a 2 year old daughter together who my SD used to have a very good relationship with however I am seriously concerned if this is the case for my daughter’s safety. BM stated we couldn’t have contact with SD through her lawyer as she ‘didn’t think it was in her child’s best interests’ but now all of a sudden she does. I’m very wary about this whole situation as BM states these thoughts she’s having are very disturbing. She said she had been playing ‘murder mystery’ with her friends too which is just highly inappropriate for an 8 year old anyway. What do you all think we should do here. My partner has planned to see her tomorrow (she specifically asked for my daughter to be there).

I wouldn’t have your bio child near your SD at all whilst these claims by BM are happening. Funny that all of a sudden she wants contact again. It’s all a game.

I think the best thing u can do is sit down and have an open and honest discussion with SD. She’s 8 and I’m sure she’ll be able to tell u her view etc. To me, it sounds like BM is trying her luck and unfortunately as u or her dad haven’t seen her, u will jump at the first opportunity because it isn’t SD fault that mum stopped contact. However I would contact mediation, because they will get something in place again before BM stops contact next time for whatever reasons. It can be a legal document that would hold up in court. Randomly withholding contact and saying it’s for the child’s best interest raises flags for me. SD could be acting out because she hasn’t been able to see u. Just sounds like BM has weaponised her child. It’s awful x
