Mixed race baby looks white .

Just to say . I don’t care one jot what colour skin my baby has but just wondered if anyone else has a mixed race baby who looks white ? My baby is 7 months old and has been extremely fair ever since he was born . He is 1/4 Black Jamaican and 3/4 White English but he is whiter in complexion than some of my white friend’s babies . All babies are beautiful :)

I had a friend in high school who's father is Jamaican. The only thing she got from him was curly hair. Her brother on the other hand, got everything except his hair. Genetics are weird.

Sometimes, babies are super white and get more melanin later.

Lots of mixed babies present more one skin tone. 3 of my 1/2 Jamaican babies looks so very different. My husband is 100% Jamaican. Our little vary in skin tone and eye color, hair texture and color.

Both my husband and I are mixed. I am Jamaican & Dominican. He is Dominican and black/white American. We are both brown with dark curly hair and brown eyes. Our first daughter was born with blue (now green) eyes very light brown hair and was so fair she looked pink. She is a bit more tan now but still significantly lighter than us. I find genetics so fascinated, you just never know what you’re gonna get. Especially from the Caribbean, they already derive from so many different origins (native, African, European, aisian ect) it’s a beautiful thing ❤️

My baby is mixed heritage and he is very light with the most beautiful aurburn curly hair and green eye, it's amazing how genetics work isn't it😂❤️
