Anxiety

Is this normal As a first time mum to be I am always anxious about my baby and if it’s growing and doing well I often get really worried and feel as if I am going to have a miscarriage and get really anxious and my head starts to assume the worst despite only having a scan and baby was happy and healthy a couple of days ago I would love to hear if others feel like this and how they try and stay positive

Absolutely, it's completely normal to feel anxious as a first time mom! I felt the same way during my first pregnancy. It's easy to worry and overthink everything. One of the best things you can do is to avoid searching for information online, as it can lead to more stress. I often found myself getting anxious over little things, which sometimes made me go to the emergency room, only to realize I was overreacting. If you're ever concerned, don't hesitate to talk to your midwife. They’re there to help you! You're not alone in this, and many others feel the same way. Staying connected with others can really help you stay positive!

Oh absolutely same I have had 2 scans one private one because of a small bleed And our next one is next week and I keep saying to my husband I am Convinced we’re going to be told there’s no heartbeat I can’t shake the feeling It’s almost like unless I have a scan daily I am not satisfied- I am under a mental health midwife so speak with them too

I totally feel you here, I’m exactly the same!! Overthinking everything and fearing the worst, but also trying to give my head a wobble and think positive thoughts!! Stay strong mama, you got this!
