My Overbearing Mother-In-Law Pt. 1

From the moment I got pregnant, I knew there was going to be a lot of problems with her. I had always envisioned my gender reveal and baby shower to be done a certain way....since I am the mother carrying, it should be what I want, right? For the gender reveal, I wanted ONLY close friends and immediate family members so it could be more intimate....My MIL threw a fit about it and complained how she wants HER WHOLE FAMILY to be there...I personally did not want that because if they do not have a close relationship with my husband, why would I want them at our baby's gender reveal? My MIL still went ahead and invited her whole family even though that was not what I wanted. I WAS STRESSED THE WHOLE TIME BECAUSE SHE RUINED MY GENDER REVEAL. For the baby shower, I was fine with anybody who wanted to shower our baby girl with gifts and love...I picked and paid for the venue...AND MY MIL HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY, "I don't think this is big enough for my whole family. We are going to need a lot more chairs." I literally rolled my eyes and walked away. She always has something to say and I am just tired of being around her.
