Eptopic expectant management question

I have just found out I’m having an ectopic pregnancy. We miscarried in Dec last year and we have been trying for 11 months, so this feels a little cruel. My hcg numbers are SUPER low, but still rising every day; 90, 97, 107, 125, 138. Because my numbers are so low, they want to do expectant management. For anyone who has been through this, how long did it take your body to realise something was wrong and start to dissolve the pregnancy?

So sorry 😔 I’ve just been through this myself also expectant management! I was back and forth to EPU for 3 weeks for blood tests my HCG started at 28 and went all the way up to 550 then drastically started dropping along with all of my symptoms easing all in the last week. The waiting is awful I know 🥺

I’m really sorry for your loss Jade. It’s a rollercoaster isn’t it, and the constant waiting is so hard. It’s particularly crappy to get the pregnancy symptoms. Thank you so much for the info, that’s so helpful! We found out a week ago, and my numbers are still rising but I’m hopeful they will go down soon. Did they ever find your pregnant on a scan?

@Kate It really is awful! Especially having all the symptoms I had such bad morning sickness which is why I took a test to begin with! But started bleeding and having cramps so knew something wasn’t right which was confirmed by how low my levels were. I had a scan when I was supposed to be 4 weeks along they couldn’t see anything! I had another one at 6 weeks and they did locate the ectopic on my right side. I had already known it was ectopic without the scan I had most of the typical signs. Really hoping it’s over for you soon and you can take the time to grieve and heal from it all! 🤍

Oh Jade, I’m so sorry. Thank you for your help. Sending you lots of well wishes as you recover x
