Losing the will to live

My toddler is nearly 2 years old, but he never eats. It’s so frustrating. I make a variety of foods and he has one or two mouthfuls then pushes away. Share advice or words of encouragement 😔

Mine was the same, he’s 3 this Sunday and only in the last couple of months has he started eating better, but he does eat well at nursery, just never did with us 🤣

Does he drink a lot of milk throughout the day? Are there any specific foods he will eat?

Have you tried smoothies? My son is like this with certain texture of breakfast foods. So for breakfast I started smoothies. My son will eat bacon but he doesn’t like eggs, waffles, French toast, and pancakes. The smoothies worked for me so far

It’s your responsibility to provide food but it’s your child’s responsibility to eat. I live by that and I feel less stressed. My son gets all the food he needs if he doesn’t eat it he must not be very hungry.

I found out Silicone plates and silverware do absorb gross food tastes. I was puzzled that my daughter was trying to eat off my plate and rejecting her favorites on her plate. The food tasted nasty on a silicone plate 🍽️ I just started letting her use our dishes. And that changed the game. I got metal silverware for her too. The food safe silicone does absorb gross aftertastes even if you have a dishwasher. I was amazed. Even their high chair tray can absorb gross flavors and affect the food no matter how well you wash it. Taste check the food off their plates and containers if you haven't already
