Help!!

Our daughter had garlic bread late last night as we came back from holiday late and had six onces of milk before bed and was sick at 3am. She's had no milk today and had dry toast this am (and wasn't sick after eating that) and toast again in the afternoon with 3 bits of banana and sicked the banana up an hour later. She's had no diarrhoea either. We're unsure if it's because she's had too much for too late or sickness bug? Help 🤦🏼‍♀️ we're unsure what food to give her now!

how old is your daughter?

@Lydia she's 1 year and 6 months old!

Banana bothers my stomach when it’s not feeling well? Warm broth or chicken noodle soup if she’s up for it? Lots of fluids and mild food.

@Genesis thank you so much. We've given her a dry biscuit, and that hasn't come back up! We're going her chicken noodle soup for tea!

Stick to dry things like toast and just water until there's been no sickness for at least 24hrs

@Nicole she's not eaten all day just thrown everything up. Shall we stay off milk today?

I would say stick with bland food- fruits, veggies and milk are all still okay though. milk has lots of nutrients you don’t want to skip out on. she may not keep it all down but keep offering it…you just want to avoid dehydration…I would consult a doctor if it lasts more than a couple days though. lots of water too!

If she seems sick or having an uneasy stomach my mom always followed the BRAT diet (she’s a nurse) B: Bananas R: Rice A: applesauce T: toast And all of it should be plain or with very light butter. Nothing to disturb the stomach.

@Chloe if she has a bug you dont want to keep 'feeding it' as she will keep being sick. I would suggest toast and water to stay hydrated until shes picked up again and then slowly introduce milk and other foods gradually until back to normal self
