Meat eating

How much meat does your LO eat? My son’s nursery is a vegetarian one, so he doesn’t have meat there. We have a lot at home and he’s a brilliant eater, but I notice he often eats around the meat. He doesn’t consume that much. I just worry about his protein intake. Are there any mums that are raising their LO’s vegetarian and can offer alternatives that they give ?

He does eat a lot of fish, he loves fish. Tuna, crab, salmon, cod etc

We have meat or fish 4-5 times a week as part of our evening meal. He tends to eat the carbs first and then the meat. My partner is a big meat eater so I only manage to get vegetarian stuff in a couple of times a week - lentils, chickpeas and beans are good sources of protein.

My son loves meat, we are meat eaters, but we don't give him meat every day. Other protein sources he has are greek yogurt, soft cheese, peanut butter, lentils, peas, homemade hummus and fish (he only likes tuna and salmon)

Maybe ask the nursery how they substitute protein intake But just out of curiosity, vegetarian nursery is a thing?

@Tea yeah! They have a lot of ethnic minorities there that don’t eat beef or pork, so they just found it easier to go vegetarian x
