@Megan thank you. It’s soo exhausting having to take him every hour especially as I have a 6 month old to tend to as well 😣
When we started in July we had a 6month old as well! She’s 9 months now and it’s becoming more of a nightmare as she’s crawling so having to hide the potty from her, so when my boy does say he needs to go it always a scramble 🥴 I’ve definitely pulled a few hairs out over the situation but there is a light at the end of the tunnel 😅
My girl has been potty trained since feb/april time and we still have to take her she would hold it hours if I don’t take her myself she’s good with poos as usually during bath time she needs to go and asks to get out to go potty other than that she hates having to go and will hold it ! It takes time for some to actually acknowledge or ask to go whether it be them being difficult or them not knowing themselves. I usually have to bribe saying go toilet then we can do so and so 😅
This probably not what you want to hear but it took us months to get to where we are now, with him telling us when he needs to go. We started end of July and it’s really only been start of this month that he’s been a bit more consistent about telling us. We had good weeks then bad, it has been very up and down. There were points that I questioned if we tried too soon/when he wasn’t ready but then he’d have a really good stint, then back to days of multiple accidents a day for a bit. I know of some people with children our age who smashed it in 2 weeks, and some like us where it was months of variability 🤷🏻♀️
