How much formula?
My little boy is 9 days old today, but he does between 3-4oz already on his bottle. He is never content after 2-3oz which is the guideline for this age. Don’t know if it makes a difference but he weighed 8lbs8oz at birth (40+6). Very worried he’s taking too much. Anyone else’s baby drink a lot?

Mine is 9 days too and is drinking around 3oz every 3/4 hours. I was the same as there is no fixed guidelines really so I asked the midwife and it depends on the size of the baby and mine was born 8lbs 12oz and she said he’d be able to handle 3oz at this age xx
my baby is mostly breastfed so i’m not sure if that makes a difference at all, but we do one bottle of formula at night time and since he was 1 weeks old old we’ve given him 3oz as 2oz wasn’t satisfying him enough xx
Mine is 9 days old and also weighed 8lb 8oz at birth! lol He has 3oz every 2 hours on the dot

Me and my partner were saying this a few days ago. Lo is 11 days old and she feeds around 3oz every 3 hours. I spoke to my midwife on her last home visit who said this is fine as she will go longer between feeds. Plus it’s better for her to be content than constantly hungry. She said if she is over fed she will be sick and let us know. With us feeding her the 3oz, she is more content and less fussy. Speak to your midwife to be on the safe side but I hope this puts your mind at rest a little 🥰
