Postpartum

So I just had my baby on the 17th, I got a second degree tear and was wondering how long it’s taken others for using the bathroom especially peeing in my case to stop burning super bad? :( It makes me miserable. I use peri bottle and everything and still makes me shake from the pain. I’m fine after I clean up it’s just during that sucks super bad lol.

I’m super sorry to hear about that momma. I would probably call the doctor and let them know that you’re concerned about a postpartum UTI. It’s better to check and advocate for yourself momma, discomfort = shaking in pain. It can depend if you tore your urethra but you shaking in pain does concern me. Advocate for yourself and take a friend or husband with you as support. If they dismiss you, ask them for an alternative diagnosis and ask them WHY do they think it’s “normal”.

I had a 1st degree tear and had the burning feeling until the 5th week. Felt frustrated because my OBGYN and also a friend who had a 1st degree both said that would go away after 2 weeks. OBGYN thought maybe it was an allergic reaction to the stitches used. Taking showers and then laying in bed naked letting my hoo ha air dry made me feel better. I hope your burning goes away soon ❤️‍🩹

I had a second degree year and I would say it’s taken 3 weeks for it to feel normal again x

I had a 3rd degree incision/ tear and never felt burning that bad. Doesn't sound normal to me.

i think it was 2 weeks for me, with a first degree tear. my stitches didn’t heal for 6 weeks tho
