How long does the extra fertile window last after giving birth?

I’m asking this because it took 3 years to conceive my first. I then got pregnant 6 weeks postpartum with my second thanks to the fertile window and now I’m 8 months postpartum with my 2nd and I would like to try for a 3rd but I worry that the extra time being fertile after birth has worn off now and we may struggle again like with our first!

Following because I'm also curious. I had to wait until 12 weeks postpartum for a procedure but wanted irish twins as was told by my consultant for another issue if I wanted more kids I had to catch my window now and I know I'm ebf but with LO turning 6 months in 2 weeks I'm stressing that I'm destined to have an only child 😢 Sorry for venting. I hope the answer comes soon 🙏🏻

I’m not sure if this is due to the fertile window or if it was just luck but I just got pregnant the first month of trying and my son is just over 2.

I’ve read somewhere that you aren’t anymore fertile after having a baby than what you were before you got pregnant. So just try when you’re ready
