Hosting Postpartum

Just taking a moment to celebrate low-key, familiar, casual guests šŸ„° I honestly feel like weā€™ve been hosting more than ever after having our secondā€¦ We have a guest room, and have been letting family stay with us, hosted a baptism reception, and other dinner parties with friends. Although I normally get super stressed by that sort of thing, everyone has been so kind and helpful! Itā€™s almost more work when people *arenā€™t* around to play with the toddler, help with dishes, cooking, etc šŸ˜‚ Feeling very blessed by our community after this pregnancy! Especially since my first experience was during Covid.

Itā€™s amazing to have amazing friends to help and support us!! Shout out to @Stephanie for being the bestest best friend ever šŸ©·

It does sound lovely to have a community like that šŸ’— surrounding yourself with people who love and cherish you and hosting for joyful gatherings is a great way to keep those happy hormones going and know you are supported and honored as a mother.

@Barbara Says the bestest best friend! ā¤ļø
