Kidbrooke Village

Hi, I’m a single mother of 2. I’m looking to find a place for my family. I’ve noticed there are many affordable flats currently in Kidbrooke village. I have been looking at this area for a while but was always priced out. Now there are affordable flats, I wanted to know of people’s opinions of the area. Is it somewhere I should consider with my 2 little children? Is it safe? Are the flats a good standards? Etc

I always thought of moving there myself but I haven’t seen anything ‘affordable’ do you mind me asking what prices you’re seeing? And I heard it’s quite safe, and the flats do look really nice but I don’t know much more. I know there’s a new amazing park area for kids near by too!

ive just moved into kidbrooke village through the council, the flat i am in im am so happy with! such a good standard & the area is such a nice place to live and so convenient

@Mya £122.5k for a 2 bed shared (ownership). I’m from a neighbouring area, so I know the estate that it replaced. So unsure whether the crime and history has progressed or is just hidden by beautiful buildings

@Shanie that’s positive! What is the population like? Is it business people, singles, or families? I’m asking to know whether it’s family friendly, as I’m thinking what the population would look like when my children are older.

I’ve lived in the village for 4 years- very family friendly. I’m a teacher and my partner works in finance in Canary Wharf. Great school and nurseries, parks and kids clubs. X

its quite a busy area but not had a bad experience so far! Theres a bit of everything around here tbh very family friendly in my opinion.

@Corinne thanks for your reply. This is positive. I think I’m going to view the flat and go from there 😄

@Shanie brilliant! Thank you very much for responding x
