Free childcare hours
I’m hoping someone can help!
My little girl currently does 1 day a week at nursery and we use some of our free 15 hours for that day.
We have just come to do our declaration for the next three months but it’s saying we won’t receive the hours whilst I’m on maternity leave.
Does anyone have experience of this?

@Hannah on the form it said will I earn over a certain amount and it was a penny more than maternity pay. It then said we wouldn’t qualify so I’ll have to try and call someone tomorrow. My work are bulk paying my maternity which won’t help things at all either
You definitely qualify if you’re on maternity leave with another baby, not the one you’re claiming for. I assumed you had to treat it like you were working, so what would you be earning if you actually were in work and not on leave. Would be good to know what they say when you find out x

Surely as you’re still Classed as employed you’ll get the funded hours? I’m in the same boat.
