Cow’s milk or follow-on formula?

I’m probably overthinking this but when the HV said we can stop all formula at 12m, I didn’t know if when we should start phasing in cow’s milk (and how). I’ve been cooking with it since we started weaning but baby doesn’t seem to like it on its own (I’m the same and hate milk 😂). She still has four bottles a day but is drinking way less and could probably do without the two “snack” bottles she has during the day. Should I try replacing one of those with cow’s milk? I don’t think the fridge cold milk temp is an issue because she often has cold or room temp water.

We do the munchkin 360 cup full of warm cows milk with breakfast & then 6oz of formula at bedtime. Will replace the 6oz of formula with 6oz of cows milk on Sunday when he turns 1! You can mix it with regular formula over the span of a week, every day just lower the oz of formula & up the oz of cows milk. Follow-on-formula is a gimmick and not needed. Also from 12 months babies technically don’t need to drink any milk at all just as long as they are having 2 portions of yoghurt, cheese, milk in cereal etc.

@Jasmine thank you! That’s good to know re: dairy. Baby always demolishes her yogurt at lunchtime and often has cheese at dinner ☺️ how do you warm the milk? We don’t have a bottle warmer.

@Meghan I just put it in a jug and then chuck it in the microwave for 30 seconds lol xx

I’m sticking with follow on milk for the vitamins and nutrients, and giving my daughter milk in her cereal, yogurts, cheese etc. she has a 5oz bottle in the morning. 5oz bottle 2 hours after lunch and then another one at bedtime xx
