This may be a dumb question..

I’ve recently been diagnosed with GD. Today is only my second day testing at home. I was reading through some posts on here and when I see people refer to their levels they’re saying numbers like 10 and 12. I’m just confused as my readings are like in 95-150 range. The directions were kinda confusing and I’ve yet to have my nutrition appointment. Am I doing this right?

Yes ma'am, there are different units used to measure Blood Sugar. You are using mg/dL while others use mmol/L.

@Kiara thank you! lol, I feel dumb now 😂 that makes total sense!

@Mercedes No problem and no need too, we're all learning 🩷

Us measures different than uk. I’m in the us. Fasting/when I wake up needs to be less than 95. 2 hrs after a meal needs to be less than 120. 1 hr after a meal 140, but I don’t test then, just at the 2 hr mark.

@Usinger is it better to test at the 2 hour mark?

I don’t know if it’s better. It’s what my nurse advised me to do and what they typically do at my ob office. Occasionally I’ll test at 1hr or 90 minutes (I’m hungry or we have to be somewhere and I’ll be driving). I notate it on my paperwork that was the case.
