Effects? Alternatives?

So I was a heavy stoner. So multiple blunts/spliffs daily. I found out I was pregnant and stopped. (7 weeks) I read some people smoked till like 20 weeks. How’d did that go? After birth were there any complications. I think the guilt may eat me alive but I would actually be able to eat. Sleep and be comfortable. I just want a hit especially after some less desirable News. How often do the doctors test for it? How long does it last in the babies system? What are some alternatives if anything…

I consumed thc my entire pregnancy but I switched to smokeless options like edibles at 27 weeks! (My obgyn knew of my consumption the whole time) I gave birth at 40weeks and a day, my son had zero complications. No shaking, no weird head shape, he was not underweight, I never heard of him or myself being tested in the hospital either (we had zero cps intervention personally) he has had zero health concerns, he’s 21 months now. Hit every milestone in advance.

i have heard from many ppl that those who have smoked had healthy babies and were advanced as well , but i also have heard that they do test during birth and open a cps case if positive. it has happened to a few ppl and is apparently becoming the norm so just keep that in mind once you get closer to your due date!

i smoked till i was 15 weeks, had a completely healthy baby. however cps did intervene as soon as i had the baby, no further issues though. baby was clean i was clean no issues upon after birth testing.

I'm in Canada. Here the doctors don't test. I consumed moderately throughout my pregnancy for HG treatment - nothing else worked & I was at risk of miscarrying due to malnutrition. My OB knew and was fine with it. My son is totally healthy, born at 8lbs 13oz. The longest study done so far was one in Jamaica, on 59 kids up until 5 years old. It showed no significant difference between kids of users and non-users. Like any other medicine (Zofran, Diclectin, etc), there are always risks & benefits. From what I've found, benefits far outweighed the risks in my situation. This is a helpful resource: https://www.instagram.com/cannabirth?igsh=MTh1czU4cGIzcGg2ZA==

@Becca I’m not in Canada but I second everything ya said! Jamaica does have the most accurate data in their studies (:

I smoked most of the way through with my girl. She had no side effects, no shaking no nothing she was all healthy and she was 5ibs12oz but she was 11 days early. Now she’s 2.5 years old and thriving with life. X

I smoked the whole last pregnancy but also cigarettes. I had gestational diabetes, I was 34, and he came at 36 weeks and1 day. It was my 4th child. I'm 37 now, 34 weeks pregnant with baby #5. I've quit cigarettes over a year ago, but I've still consumed thc throughout my pregnancy. So far everything is good. I too, couldn't eat and was sick 24/7. Couldn't function like that. I have slowed down alot though and have been honest with my obgyn. I lost my mom 3 and a half months ago, so it's been kinda rough. Everyone has their own opinion. Some swear it's super bad, I personally don't agree. Best of luck either way!
