6 months is when to wean or later if they are not able to sit up in a high chair x https://www.nhs.uk/start-for-life/baby/weaning/

It’s recommended to start weaning at 6 months unless advised by a medical professional. We were advised to wean at 4 months from choking due to reflux. We started as advised and he was no where near ready. We stopped and waited until he was showing signs. Signs baby is ready: - can sit up with minimal support - coordinate eyes, hand and mouth (can pick up food and bring it to their mouth) - shows interest in food - opens mouth when offered food I’m sure these are the signs on nhs website anyway xx
