@Donna Woods even when on reports it says based on ultrasound CRL?x
I think they initially take the date as lmp because conception is harder to estimate. When you're scanned they're looking to match the CRL measurement to your lmp, but if there is a difference they will update your due date to reflect that, based on the CRL. But, the CRL measurement is still counted from earlier than your conception date would be. Technically from conception, gestation is 38 weeks, but they count it as 40 because it's easier. So your CRL measurement is dated according to 2 weeks before conception, which is roughly when most people's lmp is. It's confusing but I hope that helps understand it!
@Julie oh right okay I kinda understand it a bit more now!😅 so basically 2 weeks time is added to both LMP gestational age and ultrasound CRL gestational age and pregnancy weeks doesn’t directly start from conception? Thank you for explaining! I was getting so confused 😂
