When did you give birth?

First-time boy-mom here and I’m currently 36 weeks. I don’t know if baby is going to wait much longer, he is definitely acting like he wants out. So my question to you mommies is how many weeks were you when your baby came (naturally) full works water break, labor, contractions or however it goes?

With my first, 39+3. With my second, 39+1!

My son came at 39 weeks 4 days naturally! I am 36 weeks 3 days with this one and waiting!

My first came 2 weeks early

I was induced with my first 2…38 wks with my first & 40 weeks with my 2nd. My 3rd I went into labour naturally, my water broke when I was 37 weeks 5 days. Your baby might be coming soon but truthfully, I always felt like baby was about to come for the last month or so of pregnancy…that pressure and practice contractions (or whatever you’re feeling) can go on for weeks prior to baby coming unfortunately 😬 but you never know! Good luck mama!

First came at 39 weeks. I had membrane sweep at 38+6 not sure if that helped or was a coincidence 😊

First baby came at 39w5 12 hours after my water broke

@Amanda is that normal for your water to break first hours before?

@Jordana membrane sweep? Induction?

@Jessica did you water break? How long was labor?

@Grace did you water break? How long was labor?

@Andria did you water break? How long was labor?

@Keena yeah. Mine broke at 9:45pm and my LO was born at 10:43am.

40 weeks exactly

@Keena I went to the hospital for contractions and since my hospital was an hour away, they had me walk around the hospital for an hour. Then they admitted me because I was more dilated and the contractions were getting worse. My water broke later that afternoon in the hospital. I got to the hospital around 8 am and had my son by 630 pm.

@Keena for a small amount of people yes. Water breaking naturally and being the first sign of labor I think is a small percentage of people. My cousin just had her third baby and it was the first time her water broke, and had the same thing happen

@Keena my water didn't break with either kids! My doctor broke it both times. Labor with my first woke me up at 4am and he was born via emergency c-section at 4:56 pm. Labor with my second was on and off from 2am till 4pm. Then at 4pm it become strong and consistent and baby girl came at 10:17pm

@Keena a membrane sweep is when the doctor uses their finger to separate the amniotic sac from your uterus. Can start labor for some others it does nothing. No medication involved like an induction

@Jordana why would they want to do something like this?

@Keena @Amanda in my childbirth classes the instructor told us that only something around 5-6% of women’s water will break naturally/as a sign of labor! idk how true that is (the number) ofc
