6 week old routine!

My son's corrected age is 6 weeks but he is 3 months old. I really want to try some sort of routine. Anyone tried a set routine and its worked for them? Am I wasting my time, should I wait until his corrected age is 3 months?

Same I was due September 27 but he came July 20th I try a routine but can only get one thing consist because it’s hard

I’ve followed my son’s (30+2) own routine since he has come home (36+1).. he’s almost 8 months actual and it fits in perfectly with our schedule. I would focus on trying to make the most of his wake windows right now

We set a routine at 4 weeks corrected. We followed Taking Cara Babies and it helped. Eat Play Sleep. Of course at first their wake windows are just for eating but then you start to be able to do tummy time or interact more and more. Our son will be 2 in December and has good sleep hygiene, goes to sleep independently and while he is low sleep needs, he sleeps well and keeps to his nap times and bedtimes. It is also easier when they’re younger if you want to establish that napping happens when they’re tired, to take them everywhere and let them sleep being worn by you or if you’re lucky, in the stroller.

My daughter is 5 months old but only 9 weeks corrected and the only routine that is consistent is her bedtime. Her naps and feeding during the day are still all over the place. I asked the health visitor and other mums at a baby group and they advised me that she will settle into a routine on her own between 3/4 months corrected x
