Ivf medication

Hello I would appreciate a little help. So I have to come to the realisation that to have a baby I’m going to need IVF. I’m doing a lot of research, one question I have is I struggle to take tablets , literally unless chewing I can’t swallow never have been able to since a teenager. So with the medication for IVF, are there tablets involved ? I’m praying the answer is no.

I would say it depends on the clinics protocols. I am on estrogen tablets three times per day for my embryo transfers but I do believe you can get estrogen patches but not heard of many people say they are on patches. You also need to take Folic Acid and they do recommend Vitamin D both tablets (both pretty small though). Otherwise for collection it was more injection based medications.

I had to take tablets, but just ground them down into powder x

The tablets I take are so tiny like what you take when on the pill, I can swallow them without water even and I’m terrible at taking tablets too! They often get caught in my throat. For the multivitamins ones, maybe try to get ones in a powder capsule so you could put it in juice… I have these ones

The rest of the meds depends on your protocol but mine is injections X 3 daily, (small) tablets x 3 orally and x 3 vaginally. Plus whatever pregnancy vitamins you choose. Hope that helps!

As above, depends on the clinic and protocol. I’ve had 2 cycles at 2 clinics both long and short and never had to take tablets. Always injections or pessaries.

Lots!

The only tablets I had was sleeping tablets for egg collection and the normal folic acid . The rest were patches, pessaries and injections.

I had minimal tablets and all super small the biggest were my supplements that I chose to take. I sure if this is discussed with your practitioner alternatives to the tablets can be given. The main bulk of medication was injections and pessaries for me.

Instead you take folic acid, the other forms our body absorb better Methil folate, Also the vitamin D if you take spray is better too. I working with medicine.
