Food aversions

Just wondering about people’s food aversions during pregnancy. I’m really excited and want to start trying for a second baby but my first pregnancy I was so unwell with the smell of anything cooking, onion, garlic, curry. I would just throw up all the time 😓 Just wondering if anyone has had a completely different experience the second time around or if it is always the same?

Yes completely different, this time I have food aversions

Oh bless you! It’s no fun at all! How are you doing? X

I haven’t cooked in weeks, not easy as I have a toddler so sometimes have to force myself. Sometimes I end up getting take aways. The worse part is it’s the normal food I use to eat that I now cannot stand.

Omg I was exactly the same in my first pregnancy with the same triggers!! Which was devastating as onion, garlic and curry are all my favourite foods. However, 2nd pregnancy I had no food aversions at all! Still had morning sickness but not as severe and could eat all my fave things, so there is hope for you 🎉🥰

@Claire ooh this give me so much hope! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Meat, particularly chicken - couldn't stand the smell. Also, coffee, well actually any hot drinks. At the beginning, I didn't actually want to eat at all. I had no appetite. I didn't experience any aversions with my first pregnancy so it was weird this time!
