Cough/cold/feeling chesty

Anyone got any tips of how to feel better/preferably not be waking up at night to cough? I HATEEE honey and lemon it tastes rank but do keep drinking it. Trying to prop myself upright a little, not sure if that helps. I'm awake enough to wee every couple of hours, but being awake again due to coughing/tight chest is taking the mick😴 I was unwell for a few weeks, then got better for a week and now I've started again. Sick of it tbh🙈 so just looking for your tips/tricks to help whilst I'm wide awake and fed up at 4.30am thank youuuu x

Salt water gargle - cough syrup - a saline nasal rinse - stuff to dry up the mucous usually helps. I have been having a cough lozenge at 3am and just a glass of water (had bronchitis and now tonsillitis so am fed up with the night coughing) hope the cough eases off soon x
