EBF and solids

Okay please tell me I am not the only one struggling with solid and their baby. My son will be 11 months on the 30th and I'd say he still nurses for 90% of his diet. He is interested in solids but mostly for exploring with a bite here and there but definitely not enough to consider it a meal. He just really isn't interested but as he is approaching 12 months I'm scared I'm doing something wrong.

My son’s pediatrician said she wants one good meal a day with toddlers. Maybe he does really good with breakfast but isn’t super interested in lunch or dinner, that’s ok. Just keep offering, exploring is part of the process. If you’re worried you could ask at his next appointment or maybe reach out before if that’s too far out to get a weight check. You’re doing a great job mama!!

@Olivia I offer him breakfast and dinner and more of a snack at lunch time because he usually doesn't want much to do with food midday unless it's a snack. His normal pediatrician said food before one was for fun and was okay to nurse as his primary food source. But he had an appointment last week with a different doc (his is on mat leave) and she really put pressure on stopping nursing and focusing more on food despite gaining weight normally and being on track with all his milestones.

You sound like you are doing great. My baby is breastfeeding 98% of the time. Just keep gradually increasing solids. He will be ok! ❤️

Yes I’m on the same boat girl
