Steriliser

Hiya, just wondering when do we stop sterilising bottles? My little one is 6.5months on BLW im sterilising her bottles but she's crawling around, she kicks the floor puts all sorts in her mouth and even licks the dogs, try to stop her as much as we can but you know babies she's been fine with it. But why am I sterilising bottles when I dont do it for her Cutlery, plates or water cup? Do I need to keep sterilising it? Help 🙏 Thanks in advance

From what I've been reading if you're formal feeding you need to sterilise the bottles until you're no longer formal feeding (something to do with bad bacteria in the packaging process of formal or something (someone will probably be able to correct me)). If breast milk I don't see the issue in limiting the sterilising especially if you use the bottles every day. If you're getting frustrated with the steriliser try cold water sterilising. 1 cap of Milton in 5L of cold water, leave for 15 mins and done. Just change the water every 24h

I think it’s for that special milk bacteria ? I know you can stop sterilising dummies at a certain point but i’m not sure about bottles either as my LO is not even 6 months yet

Advice is to sterilise bottles until their on cows milk due to potential build up of bacteria in the milk - both formula and BM. You don’t need to sterilise plates, cutlery, cups etc. as they aren’t used for formula or bm x

When you stop giving formula. It is the harmful bacteria in the formula that causes the issues.

When you stop giving formula. I only sterilise bottles and always have. I dont sterilise anything else

Thank you so much girlie's ❤️ aha it's so backwards isn't it
