As I understand you are in UK . It is first time I hear that GP reports to child services. My boy only has first set of vaccines ( he is 16 months now ) and child services know about it and they didn’t care TBH . However I am not sure if this can affect your job.
I saw you commenting on other post. I would change GP right away. Vaccines are opt in service and if your GP is threatening you with social services, I would respond to them saying you will report them for harassment and coercion. I am happy to draft you a letter if you want, I hate when people are pushed doing things they don't want to do (and I would say the same to a mum that wants to vaccinate her child and someone is pushing her not to, as I strongly believe it's noone else business, but parents')
@Faith I'm in the Uk
@Tatiana The letter said to book an appointment to come in and discuss but we have already previously with the midwife (I'm 28wk pregnant) and she said it was our choice but needed to be offered them. I now feel like it's bordering force and threats. I was worried about my job as every year we have to sign a declaration to say we haven't got any SS involvement due to working with children so it's worrying me a bit. Hoping it's just more of a case of being put on a list of non vaccinated people rather than anything against us.
@Lenka I have been saying for a while to move GP as they are further away but have been my GP since birth but after this I think it's made my decision to move as I've searched online and can't find anything about it (unless the child is in care which his not) My partner is back from work now and fuming so think he might be able to put together a letter thank you tho. It's just a stress I don't need ATM being pregnant with our 2nd. Hoping it's an empty threat or as another poster say CS not caring about it as its minor as we have nothing else negative in the family. Thank you. It's made me feel a bit better.
Not sure if you've done it, but if you opt out of vaccines, they need to give you paper to sign where you tick off all the ones you are opting out of and they won't contact you after. Might be you haven't signed it, so they send off empty threats. Also I believe only other time is if you were not with kid's dad and he wanted to vaccinate, court would most likely go with him, but that's not your case. I'm really sorry they put you through this, especially when pregnant too, good luck and take care of yourself and your babies, GP doesn't give a rats ass about you, they just try to fill their quota.
@Lenka we've told them verbally we don't want specific vaccines (midwife and a doctor) which they accepted but never been given paperwork to fill in. When I called the doctors about a vaccination appointment they gave me they said it was an external person who comes in and the doctors letter if from a GP I've never heard of so maybe nothing has been passed on. It said on the letter it is our choice to opt out but they will still contact CS. From what you've said there's no reason for them to contact as me and his dad are together. Might get him to contact GP for an opt out form as Its stressing me.
What state are you in?
