When to sterilise everything before baby is here

I’m coming up to 34 weeks with my first baby and am in the nesting zone! Wanting to try and be prepared, when is best to sterilise bottles etc? I would like to do it all now but feel as though I’d need to do it again closer to when baby is due / is born. I’ve seen some people do wait until baby has been born but just want any advice if it is still safe to sterilise beforehand?

Once removed from a steriliser they’re only sterile for 24 hours Even left in a steriliser I don’t think they last very long I’d waiting until baby is here have everything set up ready and maybe even the bottles prewashed ready to go and then when baba arrives it’s a matter of popping them in :)

You can sterilise now if you want but things only stay sterilised for 24 - 48 hours so you'll have to do it again anyway.

Perfect! Thank you x

They only stay sterile for 24-48 hours so I'd wait.

I washed the bottles as they were brand new from box and dried them. I then put them in the steriliser ready for when I got home with the baby. I found this easier as all I needed to do was press the button on when I got home x x

I honestly wouldn’t bother until your baby is home unless you are going for a scheduled c section and know when you will give birth. Get your partner to do them when you arrive home it’ll only take 10 minutes xx
