Interested in food

We are the same and our boy was 6 months on the 9th. We’ve offered a mix of finger foods and mashed/pureed too but so far he either turns his head or giggles when the food is near his mouth and doesn’t really take any in 😂 I’m just continuing to let him join us at the table and exaggerating everything I’m doing when I’m eating to show him. Hopefully it will click soon 😊

@Rachel exactly the same! He will gag and then not open his mouth. Turning his head side to side. Iv kept trying for breakfast and dinner and hoping the same

My eldest did the same, only really started being interested at almost 7 months x

We just kept giving him stuff and let him play and just experiment with food xx

Same, LO will take the smallest amount to taste then get fed up after 5 minutes. Will just persevere until the penny drops and she realises there’s a whole new world of food out there 🤣

We are the same and my LG was 6 months on 3rd. If I put a spoon by her mouth, nothing, doesn't want to open it at all. So I went for BLW and she picks up and sucks stuff but as soon as she realises it's food, she pulls a face and gags loads. My LB wasn't like this at all. Just going to keep trying, little bits each day 🤷‍♀️

Thanks all! I actually work in a nursery but never done this part and finding it quite difficult. Hopefully he starts enjoying food soon x
