My partner wants to start it today my son takes his nappy off every time he pees but he wouldn’t be able to let us know if he needs to go

1. Take their opinion with a grain of salt. You know you're child better than they do. If he's not ready, he's not ready. Forcing it will only make it a disaster. 2. Research first. Find a method that you want to deploy and prepare for it. You and your husband. Do you have excess pants for accidents? Are you rewarding with snacks? Does he have his own potty or a potty topper for the big one? A travel potty was a good investment for me, gotta leave the house during training eventually. (I didn't do pull Ups). I did the Oh Crap method. Cleared my schedule for a week. You have to be in tune with your child's every move and signals, especially if they aren't very verbal. Naked for the first day or two, loose pants after that. A lot of praise and celebrating for successful steps. She got it within the week. Idk, for me, it's just not something that can be started spontaneously. Preparation (mental and physical) is key.

Oh, and preparing the child is important. I talked about it for a week before we started. Let her know what was going to happen, no more diapers, gonna use the potty in 5 days, 4 days, tomorrow, etc..

@Heather thank you so much for commenting! Have 100% taken your words onboard xx
