Ngl seeing all these positive pregnancies on here is making me upset cause I want to conceive so bad. I’ve been trying this month. I can’t test yet as I don’t know when I’ve ovulated. I just got off the patch last month so I doubt I’ll get pregnant. Congratulations everyone I hope I can join yall soon 😭.

I’ve been just doing the do everyday in hopes it happens.

Hello lovely, firstly, no matter how long or short you’ve been trying, the wait is agonising. It’s recommended to have sex every other day as opposed to every day though for optimal chance. I’d ask your Gap for day 21 bloods to try and pin point ovulation. Try and reach your periods to give the dates to your GP or fertility clinic if you’re planning on having standalone blood tests x

I was in on the patch for a year and it took me a year to start ovulating again xx

@Laura are you serious that’s scary

Yeh it was such a long wait to start ovulating

@Shannon okay so every other day instead of everyday. I would use ovulation test but they’re so pricey.

I started using the clear blue ovulation kit from when I started trying xx

@Laura I don’t even know where to start if I tried to pay for that.

Where are you from

The clear blue ones are but easy @ home strips off Amazon are much cheaper x

I used the easy at home ovulation tests which are pretty cheap for loads and the app to go with it is quite useful

I think it’s good to be realistic with yourself to manage your expectations - anything up to 12 months of trying is normal for two healthy adults trying to conceive. When you add in that you’ve just come off contraception, you need to remember it could easily take a few months for your cycle to return to normal. Get a box of easy @ home ovulation strips from Amazon, they’re cheap and will help you understand your cycle better x

It took me 9 months after the IUD and that was with tracking ovulation and cycles. It happened when I stopped tracking and actually the month we had LESS sex during ovulation because my partner had an injury 🙃 it’s hard waiting and watching everyone get their BFP it seems, but it will eventually happen, I’m sure! Anything under a year if you’re under age 35 is absolutely normal. Making a baby is really a miracle.

@Shannon okay I’ll try getting some from Amazon

Thank you for the support you guys! I’m gonna take the advice and try and order some strips from Amazon.
