Lower back pain that doesn’t go away! Any tips?

I’m 38 + 6 days and had lower back pain for about 2 weeks but it’s gradually got worse and nothing seems to help other than cold freeze gel and a bath but this works for only a short period of time. I know this can be a sign of labour but I’ve had it for about 2 weeks so don’t think it is, did anyone else experience this?

Yes I did, and sadly it stayed until after delivery xxxx

Yep, I'm there with ya. Typical end of pregnancy lower back pain. Mine is terrible and keeps locking up on me too. Gotta love that hormone relaxin that's responsible along with the weight of the baby. Something that helps me other the the baths and stuff you mentioned, is to stretch. I get a froggie position and allow a good stretch. Then do the cow position on my hands and knees and allow my belly to hang low and relax my back and then change into the scaredy cat position where I arch my back while on my hands and knees. I give each of those a minute of 2. And then just repeat if I need or want too. All these allow your back to have a break from the pressure of carrying the weight. All of them I was shown by one of my midwives a couple of pregnancies ago, and I've been using them ever pregnancy since. They won't eliminate it, but they will help. Stretching at this point is gonna be your best friends. Even stretching your legs and inner thighs.

It’s a sign of early labour known as the latent phase which can go on for weeks x
