IVF Journey through NHS

After three years finally began my IVF journey through the NHS. Looking for any advice about the process. I’ve only just had my first initial appointment this week. Feeling excited but anxious at the same time! 🫠

-Write down and questions you have even if you think it’s stupid or they have already told you. Information is key. -Give your self grace when on medication. -Communicate with your parter a lot as it’s a hard journey and sometime your emotions can run wild. -Have set times for medication. -Learn any side effects from medication from the leaflet so you know what you could expect. -take time off work for your egg collection and embryo transfer(few days) Good luck.

Just keep hope xx

Thank you ☺️

Get yourself a little tool box or mini set of table top drawers of Amazon to keep your meds , syringes and needles organized. Keep a small ice pack in the freezer to numb the area before the injections as well as some alcohol wipes. Large container in the fridge for the medication that need to be in the fridge. Taking Q10, vitamin C and a good probiotic along with your prenatal has been known to help immune system and egg quality. One cycle you might get 3 eggs the other you might get 18 .. don’t focus on that it’s all about quality of eggs not quantity . Stock up on a stool softener like movicol or the natural supplement like Arrae Constipation - the progesterone can really constipate you as well as the antibiotic and egg retrieval. Arrae Bloat really helps with trapped wind which can be super uncomfortable when ovaries are enlarged . This doesn’t happen all the time but it happened my second cycle. Be kind to yourself Find something that calms you Good luck 💕💕

Awe thank you for your advice Bex means a lot
