Crazy itching especially at night.

Hi hi ladies, I have been diagnosed with Hyperemesis in my second pregnancy I’ve been given four medicine to to rotate as needed. I am currently on Metoclopramide, Omeprazole, Cyclizine and Xonvea however for the past couple of days I’ve been itching like crazy I just wondered if anyone had any of these side-effects any of these drugs it’s even worse at night and it’s driving me crazy. The GP said they were going to prescribe me antihistamine lotion maybe that would help but I just wondered if anyone else had similar side-effects Thanks in advance.

I’m on all the medication you mentioned except xonvea and had no issue with them. Hormones might be causing the itching. I hope the lotion works.😍

I did feel itchy with zofran and metoclopramide as well. Hopefully the lotion helps! My skin just was really sensitive too during pregnancy, I had to switch to sensitive laundry detergent (like dye free) as unscented body wash helped me. But if you are in the late second or third trimester be careful of cholestasis! It makes you feel very itchy and you have to get labs checked asap

I had HG and cholestasis. Definitely ask your doctor about cholestasis I’d say - it can actually happen from around 8 weeks, even tho it usually develops towards the end of pregnancy. But since it can be scary for baby, I’d ask them to do the bile acid level blood tests if you keep itching.
