Toddler app suggestions for late bloomers?

So my toddler (2.5) is considered "nonverbal," but he has been saying Mom or Mama, and Dada almost his whole life. Plus, he says the word Bubble and has for over a year. (He loves bubbles, and the TV show Bubble Guppies) He does babble constantly, like almost non-stop, and makes lots of different sounds. He mostly communicates with me by physically controlling my body to show me what he wants. Sometimes, he will imitate actions himself to let me know. He's almost never around people interacting with him but me. I have gotten him a tablet as he has been showing very obvious interest in electronics even though he's never had anything like that before. So I don't know how he'll do with it. But I'm going to try the Speech Blubs app. I would like suggestions on any apps that would be good to help him with his growth and learning in any way? He loves blocks and puzzles, by the way. We play with them for hours every day. I don't know if that's relevant, but I figured I'd throw it in🤷‍♀️

Miss Rachel is good for speech development. She also teaches baby sign language which might be really helpful for your little one. Ours still incorporates a lot of signs in with his words. Also recommend talking to your pediatrician about speech therapy if you haven't already.

Have you considered him getting evaluated/assessed for early intervention? It’s a very helpful resource that’s usually free or covered by insurance. If he qualifies or needs it, they will advise, and do specific activities with him regularly. Check it out.

My daughter loves speech buns, Lucas and friends, and Kahn Academy Kids on her tablet. Super Simple Songs, Mrs. Rachel, and Cloud Babies. All great for speech and learning.

Thank you, everyone, for these suggestions!! I will try them out, and as far as getting him evaluated for early intervention, I have that appointment scheduled, and it's not far off now. I had a serious issue with my kids' last doctor, so I've been on a waiting list to get them into someone new!

@Annie oh I hope it works out! It's amazing what a difference a different Dr can make sometimes. I have a couple of friends/neighbors with kids in speech therapy) early intervention and it's been so helpful for them. (I have a good friend who was actually a little sad her second kid didn't qualify for early intervention since it was so incredibly helpful with her first 😆)

@Miriam, I'm hoping this doctor will be good, but I definitely think early intervention is something he needs. I've been trying all kinds of ways to help him, but I think he honestly needs more people besides me to interact with him in those ways!
