I went in to the hospital with this the other day, my hands face and feet are swollen also, my blood pressure was reading 130/75 .. so that was okay but I also had traces of Protine in my urine, they’re sending it off to the lab to be tested anyway, she told me to keep an eye on blood pressure and any headaches, pain on the upper right hand side or blurred vision then to go straight back, if I was you, I’d just get checked as it’s better to be safe x

Yeah I have the home tests too and a blood pressure kit. I would probs speak to triage out of hours just to be safe.

Ring triage and explain they may say to go up there x

Thanks girls, I’ve done my blood pressure which is normal for me, I don’t have any other symptoms except from slightly swollen fingers so going to keep an eye on it x

I’ve literally came back from the hospital . They kept me in for the night to monitor the baby and me but I had protein in my urine and a bad case of UTI . So I would rather get that checked so it doesn’t turn into uti x

Get yourself to Maternity Triage, take your time and don’t put any strain on your body. Sounds like preeclampsia, im currently dealing with it. You’ll be fine I just wouldn’t want you having these symptoms at home. You’re always best off being in an environment where you’re being looked after. I almost left the hospital waiting to hear if it was actually preeclampsia because I was so tired and fed up but once they identified it. They gave me a bed and really took care of me. I’m so glad I stayed it could’ve been so dangerous!! So I urge you to get into contact with a health care professional or simply go to the hospital!! I hope you’re okay my darling, thinking of u!! I want updates !!

I called triage this morning, mainly for just some reassurance! Described everything to them and they asked me to go in just to get checked, was only there for about 5 mins, they dipped my wee + checked bp, told me swelling is normal in 90% pregnancy and listened to baby and said everything was fine. But all they kept saying was that I was anxious, made me feel really silly and like I’ve just wasted their time now :(

Give triage a call and see if they can double check for you. If you still have your strip or a photo of it, I would show them that. Best to be on the safe side x
