Childcare funding
I’ve applied for the 15 hours childcare funding to start in January and have been given a temporary code. When I try to sign in to my account on the government website though I get taken through the whole process again, filling in all my details. Is this normal? I assumed once the application was done I’d have an account with a login that would take me straight through. It’s not been 3 months since I applied so I shouldn’t have to be reconfirming all my details again. Has anyone else experienced this or is it normal and my account will appear once I’ve filled everything in again on each page?

I was just about to apply but does this mean it's basically not worth doing it at all until a month before you go back to work? Also, if you have annual leave to take at the end of your mat leave do you apply a month before that starts because technically at that point you're being paid again but on A/L? All so confusing!
@Harriet i only applied earlier as nursery needed it. If you have no need for funding code yet apply 31 days before your return. Annual leave is counted as return to work so can apply for funding 31 days before the annual leave. It was so confusing for me but HMRC phonecall helped x

When l got given a temp code l got told l needed to apply and fill all my details again when it was time for a permanent code, 31 days before return to work. Nothing saved with temp code x
