Has anyone had a fussy eater that just naturally grew out of it?

My little girl is one and still quite a picky eater, she mostly sticks to cheese, eggs, any form of carbs, fruit and yogurt. I have a two year old who eats absolutely everything so this has been quite unexpected and dinner times particularly have become a nightmare! Most nights end up with a major meltdown. I’m still continuing to offer everything we eat in the hope she takes to it but so far anything she doesn’t want just ends up on the floor. Is there any hope she will grow out of this??

The list you gave is pretty big for a one year old. I knew a boy growing up who only ate toast and jam. He grew up to be a head chef...

Really? Considering they are allowed to be eating pretty much everything by now and the variation of food I’ve put on offer over the last 6 months I feel like it’s quite small! I know each child is different but my son was having ‘proper’ dinners at this stage or at least trying things, and it’s more the length of time it’s gone on that is concerning me. I really don’t want her surviving on jam and toast until adulthood 😂

My 2 year old won't eat fruit, so it's good that your 1 year old does.

My daughter was fussy until she started school hair before she turned 4 1/2 years old. Now she will eat anything that in front of her thanks to free school hot lunches!! 🙏🏻

Sort of. I do think it’s a girl thing! My daughter started to eat more when she started losing her baby teeth. She didn’t eat chicken or sausages until she started school.
