Is pregnancy anxiety normal?

With my oldest I had really bad post partum, anxiety, and depression. With my second pregnancy now I’ve noticed that I have really bad anxiety and it’s starting to really get to me. Is this normal?

Me too. I have an 11 year gap. Second time round has been worse. My baby is now 5 weeks old and I still have crippling anxiety everyday. I thought it would go away after giving birth but it got worse, and for no reason

100% normal. I always say I start having postpartum anxiety symptoms right around my 3rd trimester. Are you anxious about postpartum anxiety that you experienced before? That seems to always be my thing no matter how many pregnancies I have lol try the 5 senses calming technique. That helps me a lot. Also bringing in some “reality” is helpful. Asking yourself what you’re anxious about. Seeing if you can remove that or just asking yourself if you’re okay, reminding yourself you’re safe, baby is safe etc. I’m a SAHM so I have the luxury of calling my husband (farmer) if I’m super anxious even though I know everything is fine but my mind is telling me otherwise. Or I’ll call my mom and ask to have a regular person conversation to bring some normalcy into the moment. Finding ways to “get out of your own head/way” has been helpful for me.

Yes. It’s a year post labor and I’m still with the anxiety. It’s finally starting to subside but it was baaaddd crippling. Didn’t leave the house much and stayed away from the front door in case a truck ran through it. So off the wall. Glad to know more folks are speaking up. Doctors did nothing when I spoke about it.

It's comon.. make sure your calcium magnesium and potassium are in balance, it can help. I drink LMNT electrolytes when I notice it.
