I had my unplanned induction 8 days ago at royal stoke. Was an amazing experience. The most wonderful staff and environment. I had a sweep at 1cm and the gel inserted a few hours later. A few hours after sleep and monitoring I had an epidural and waters breaking. Baby born minutes later. For me was a magical positive experience. Donāt be afraid to ask for pain relief if you want/need it, checks can be uncomfortable. Hope itās a lovely experience for you :)
I had an induction at stoke hospital and honestly I loved the whole experience! The staff are really nice and helpful they explain everything to you step by step. Being induced can be a long process as everyone progresses differently, I got induced on a Friday night and didn't go into labour until early hours Sunday morning, but other than that it was a very good experience and I've always said since that weekend I'd do the whole weekend all over again not just the giving birthš. I hope everything goes well for you!x
I did, 7 months ago, it was amazing. I went in at 11pm and they started me off at 12am. I was having mild contractions hours later, they popped my waters straight away, needed to push and in one push she was out at 8:25am. The best birth out of all four.
@Danielle what time did you get your call?
@Jodie was everything ok? Could you stay in once you got there? I'm hoping I get the call then that's it til I give birth. I'm due in Monday š¤š¤ xx
Thank you so much for the reassuring messages I feel so much more at ease now. Do you get a call any time in the day? X
I got my call at midnightš! They can literally call you at any time I think itās just whenever the beds are free as they were super busy when I was due in x
@Danielle how long ago did you give birth? I'm due in Monday š¤š¤
I gave birth on 6th July! Let us know how you get onš„°
I was induced back in Feb & it was a great experience you get put on the ward & in you're own room with a big bathroom, Partner can stay the whole time. You are waiting around alot I won't lie it took Me 2 days but the staff and room were lovely. X
I'm honestly so glad I found this post. I'm only 19 weeks but starting to think about my birth plan and being induced was always something I was curious about. Thank you all to you lovely ladies who have shared your positive experiences x
Hey, I had a good experience here! I was called in when a bed was available to be induced. My contractions had already started to be honest as I had a sweep the day before and it kick started my labour. However they did need to burst my waters but they let me settle in first, made me and my partner a cuppa tea and put the radio on etc. Really lovely and attentive midwives, they explained everything and each step. I had a good experience š Donāt overthink it like I did! Good luckš¤š¼x
