Me and my partner have been together for nearly 3 years, we currently have an 8 +6 week old baby. Last night, my partner was talking to his mum, and she expressed that lately, it seems like he doesn't care about anyone else other than myself and our baby.. like, is she serious?!
At the moment, my mother in law has been the reason for the decline of my mental health and stuff like this always hits the nerve of it.

What a head case! There’s a lot of boy mums who have unhealthy attachments to their sons. Emotional incest. Of course he’s head over heels for you and his baby, that’s normal! When you have a child, you start to build your own family and they always have priority. That’s how it goes, that’s what she’ll have done too 20/30 years ago. Would she have been happy if her partner was a mummy’s boy and ignored her child? No.
