My in laws annoy me when they come around lately because every time i’m feeding my son or if they see me feed him a meal they ask “he eats that??” Or “do you have baby food for him??” my son is almost 15 months, he’s eating regular food at this point. Whatever my husband and I eat, he eats. Why is that so shocking? For instance he likes to eat rice, beans and chicken, spaghetti, raviolis, mashed potatoes, veggies, etc all normal things to me but they make it seem like it’s unheard of. So what is everyone feeding their babies?

Mine is also mostly eating what we eat - regular food. As for annoying in laws questioning our parenting skills.... I got a pair of those too lol

He eats regular food, whatever we eat. That's much better than prepackaged baby food! You are doing great 😃

She eats regular food. Rice, pasta, baked chicken etc. my mother in law forgets that my daughter needs more than milk and needs to eat meals regularly. She thinks one meal and milk and juice is fine for the day and then wonders why my daughter is cranky

It feels strange to feed them baby food at 15 months, ofc unless they don’t have many teeth yet. Pouches are understandable if you’re looking for something easy. If you don’t need easy why would you? 😭

I thinkbit may be a generation type idea thing. Cause my friend is dealing with the same drama comments from her own mother🫣. Where as my son's family is just impressed and says he's healthy🤷‍♀️
