šŸ’‡ā€ā™€ļøHairdresser Adviceā€¦ā€¦

Hi All, random question, is there any negatives to drying hair naturally? I have for many years tried to refrain from using heat on my hair (in particular hairdryer / straightners).I wash it, towel dry, and then normally style it upwards, my hair takes so long to dry it is really thick. I have always also had a dry scalp / dry skin, but am now concerned that there is any link between having wet hair / a dry scalp. I do my daughterā€™s hair in the same way, but do loose plaits and refrain from any ā€œtightā€ styling to protect it. My Daughter has really good condition, long thick hair. Should I be using a hairdryer to dry both our hairs before styling? Or is natural drying better or worse? Any help massively appreciated, Thank You ā˜ŗļø

Iā€™m not a hairdresser but have noticed that my scalp is prone to feeling more dry/itchy when I let my hair air dry. Maybe try using the hairdryer on a low heat setting just around the roots but letting the rest of it dry naturally and see if it helps?
