When I was quite early around 9/10 weeks I had a uti and the antibiotics didn’t work became it lead to a kidney infection, I ended up in a&e and given stronger antibiotics and it went away, since that I have had 3 more UTI’s and I’m 26 week now, im prone to getting them but everything is ok with baby every time, I would contact your gp again or attend a&e/out of hours if you’re in a lot of pain with it, if not you may just need a different type of antibiotic as some don’t work for some people x

@Chloe hi thankyou for answering I was in hospital as I was on nitrofurantoin but was still having symptoms , now on cefalexin but still getting back pain ?x I’m glad to hear everything going okay for you 💞

Like Chloe said, different antibiotics work differently on different people/symptoms which is why there are so many 😄 If you don't think the antibiotic is working I'd reach out to your GP to do a urine sample and ask them to send it off for a lab test, they can then see which antibiotic will be best for you 😊 (mention MSU if they don't) If you're not passing regular decent amounts of urine, go to A&E. UTI's are horrible and I hope you feel better soon x
