Mums, with a serious heart condition

I have quite serious heart condition, my pregnancy is a high risk...obviously I will talk and discuss this with my doctors,. But just curious if someone had some serious heart condition , when did you have your babies ? How many weeks were they ? Is not a question , it will be a c section

I had congested heart failure in 2017 and I’m 40 now and 19 weeks pregnant. This is the first child I’ve had since having the heart issues so I’m not sure what to expect. I started seeing a cardiologist again after initially finding out I was pregnant and she took me off all of my old medication and gave me different meds that are pregnancy safe. I’ve been determined to be high risk as well so they had me come in every week of my first trimester and then once a month in my second. Everything is good so far though. My baby isn’t having any issues and he’s growing and developing as he should.

I was born with my condition but in my first pregnancy doctor somehow ignored it, and put me through induction what was a big mistake to put me in a very high risk , I also wanted to experience natural birth , and is a result I got dilated aortic root, this is my second pregnancy and now they monitoring me, only c section...and I will ask doctor to do it much earlier just to be safe 💖

@LeKenya good luck with your pregnancy xx

Hey I have a heart condition, so monitored as high risk, my last was a planned section at 39 weeks, I’m doing the same again this time but for some reason my heart seems to be struggling a lot more in the third trimester this time xx

@Phoebe ohh...sorry to hear this....I feel you, to be honest I feel this one will be harder for me as I got dilated aortic root and it can rupture and I am so terrified of it...First was not bad for me, but at that time I did not have dilated aortic root plus I have high blood pressure... Good luck to you xx

@Phoebe how often they check your heart ?
