Ovulation can happen anywhere between 12 to 24 hours after your peak occurs x

It's such a short window to get caught pregnant x

Maybe I was just a 12 hour person lol. Idk. We had sex every day of the week including last night so if I ovulated at midnight yesterday (12hrs after peak) then I should be ok I think.

Yeah should be... Tonight won't hurt either to cover all basis 😂 I always made sure I did it atleast 2 days before and the day of peak... The 1 time I didn't do the day of peak and I conceived 😂 x

You won't be able to know exactly when you ovulate. It doesn't matter how quickly your lh rises or falls, it's just that it peaks and then falls, as the falling is the signal to your body to ovulate. LH doesn't actually measure ovulation if that makes sense.

I think what she means is... LH can't actually tell if you have ovulated only that your body had produced the hormone to try to ovulate, it doesn't guarantee that you have... As some woman don't ovulate every month... I'm one of them (apparently not at all but 2 kids later) and I got peaks every month but didn't guarantee that I had only that my body tried to x

No that's not true, ovulation happens after the LH has fallen. It's the peak or surge that signals to your body to ovulate, it can only be a peak if it's followed by a lower reading, so be definition ovulation happens after LH has fallen/peaked/surged

Even if it falls does not mean you have actually ovulated though, only that your body had attempted to

@Charley I think what I mean is returned to low levels. I read ovulation happens after the peak but LH can be high for up to 48hrs. But that you ovulate like 12-24hrs after the peak. So does it happen while they are still elevated and then once they return to “normal” low then it’s happened (or your body thinks it has obvi) or the ovulation doesn’t happen until the LH has gone all the way back down to low level

There's no way of knowing how soon after your peak you'll ovulate. So it doesn't really matter how quickly it drops to low levels as it has no bearing on when you ovulate. So you can ovulate whilst it's still high or once it's back to low, that's not the part that has a bearing on ovulation

It's proven that you are suppose to ovulate 12-24 hours after your peak, a dip means the hormones to help you ovulate has stopped trying whether succeeded or not. But after peak you should ovulate within 12-24 hours after... If they stay high it generally means you probably won't ovulate as your body is still trying, I did testing for 14 months and did a hell alot of research on it and managed to concieve from it whilst suffering with PCOS
