In a lot of discomfort with teething

Is anyone else LO in a lot of discomfort with teething? It's been happening for the past few weeks... refusing bottles or eating little amounts and in pain so cries or wines. I'm constantly giving him pain relief from Calpol, Nurophen, powder and abesol. He gets some rest bite but is restless a lot of the time. Not looking for advice but just curious anyone else being really affected. He has no teeth but can see a couple on his gum line. I'm wondering when it's going to ease up. Missing out on stuff because of it but that's just how it is at the minute.

I had the same thing when baby girl was about 3 and a half months. Her first two teeth broke through the week before she turned 4 months. She was 5 months yesterday and is back struggling with the pain again. The only thing that helps me is clove gel (Benevits) which you can get on Amazon xx it’s from Ireland but it’s really really helped with settling her when she’s hysterical. Soothes her instantly xx

Sorry meant to add we just dip a dummy in the gel and rub it around her gums.

Yes! My boy is biting on the teat not guzzling the bottle like usual, very clingy but wanting to be left alone at the same time it’s a battle. Noticed his tooth cut 2 days ago, he gets frustrated when given teething rings etc because he can’t keep them in his mouth himself. Feel like this is the hardest hurdle yet!

My little boy had the same thing about a month before his first two teeth came through, getting irritated and whining during the day and waking more often during the night, it lasted about a week. Then at 19 weeks we didn't sleep for 3 nights while the teeth came through. Now he's doing the first thing again, I think more teeth are coming. He liked to chew on his hand, but since he has teeth it hurts so he chews on a muslim or his dribble bib. We have at least 10 different teething rings, and even though he is able to use them he doesn't really like any of them. We got some teething gel from Hungary, not sure it's available here, Gengigel seems to work. I use a clean finger to massage his gums. Even without the gel he enjoys it. Hang in there, hopefully the first teeth are the worst 🙏

My girl is. She doesn't have a dummy because she doesn't like them and I think that's why it's so bad for her. Her older sister just chomped the dummy day and night for relief and surprised us when a tooth came through.
