Feeding/Formula

hey mamas!! i’m a ftm and utterly confused🤣 my little one will be a year old in less then a month and we are about a week away from being full milk, no formula. my question is, once he is drinking full milk, do i still offer 4 bottles of milk? or do i cut back and just add my solids? our feeding schedule is bottle when he wakes up, breakfast at 8, another bottle sometime before lunch, lunch between 12-1, another bottle before dinner, dinner around 5, and then a bottle before bed. do i take away a couple bottles and offer snacks instead? he is a GREAT eater, i just don’t know what to do🤣🤣 tia 🫶🏼🫶🏼

They say don’t do more than 16oz of whole milk. We never really listened to that but we were at the point where we were doing bottles when they go to sleep and when they take a nap. And then if they wake in the middle of the night. So I would cut it down and do every 4 hours ish whatever that looks like for yall. And try to do like 4-6 oz at a time. I’d stick to trying to do the least amount

Do all solids. And give water instead of a bottle. If he takes them for sleep times then continue doing that. But don’t do one before meals. Because he can now eat more at meal time if need be

My boy turns 1 in 11 days. He has a cup (munchkin 360 cup) of warm milk with his breakfast & then 6oz of formula before bed. In 11 days time I will just replace the bed time bottle with warm cows milk.

@Gabrielle thank you so much!

My pediatrician says never exceed 24 oz of milk per day because he needs to get majority of nutrients from his food. I’d he isn’t mad about it I’d cut down to 2-3 bottles per day but do it gradually.
