Rainy day ideas

The weather is turning quickly! What’s your best go to rainy day idea? Can be something to do inside or an idea of somewhere to go? I’ve got a newborn and my toddler needs his energy redirected on rainy or slow days! In the past month, we’ve done things such as: Charity shop mooch Swimming lessons Pipe cleaner threading Coffee and cake dates Hartbeeps/baby classes Airport plane watching Play doh Baking Pumpkin picking Making binoculars with toilet rolls Using binoculars on puddle walks Magnetic tiles CBeebies games on the computer Halloween dance party/floor is lava Play dates Trips to the park Any more ideas? I haven’t had longer than 2 hours sleep in a row in 34 days so can’t think of any more things. If not, hopefully my ideas above will help someone else out!

These are great ideas! We also go to playgroups, the library, toddler cinema, football classes, soft play, museums, aquariums, play cafes, bowling, a board game cafe, and we play board games (we’ve got a selection of toddler ones), do painting (with brushes, hands, apples for printing, marbles etc), and do Baker Ross craft kits x

Church playgroup, garden centre to see Christmas lights

Baking/cooking, bug hunting with a magnifying glass, sensory play with water/rice etc, craft activities - painting, sticking, stickers, stamps, puddle jumping, leaf/conker collecting (to then use to make crafts), pets at home/garden centre to see the fish, duplo, jigsaws, small world play 😊

Garden centre is always a good shout.. especially with autumn/ winter decorations to look at and it’s usually dead in the week so they can walk around and explore abit too xx
